Hair Bows and Horses.

Felt a little crafty and busted out some beautiful bows this afternoon...

 Doesn't get much better than that. 

After sitting on the beach for a while, my good friend Ella and I got called up to go out and teach with the sister missionaries! Ella and I are both serving missions for our church in the next year so we went with the sister missionaries that are serving in our area to teach a woman about what we believe. She was an absolute gem and all who involved left happy, uplifted, and with a bag of homegrown tomatoes.

On our way home we stopped by our local surf shop's labor day sale and did some shopping.

Along the way we found this treasure....

 Today I crafted, swam in the ocean, shared what I believed, shopped, and posed for pictures with a horse sculpture.

Today was a very good day.

Beach Days and Babysitting.

 I guess living in California's not so bad...

Sand castles all day everyday.

Today I built sandcastles and got paid to hang with my little peeps.

The Wedding.

Lately life has been taken over by the big W word. Not walrus, walnut, or water buffalo but WEDDING. 

Just in case you didn't know weddings cause a lot stress plus they cost a bajillion dollars. But you know what? This wedding was SO worth it.

I love my sister and even more I love who she chose to marry. The day was pure happiness and warm fuzzies. Boy, it was something. Something great. 

Plus there was a food truck and a wild dance party at the reception sooo what's not to love?

Today my sister got married.

Today is SUCH a good day.

A Big Fat Moon and a Whole lot of In-laws.

Today my family and I met my future in laws for the first time ever. The evening was full of good pizza and good company. So many new faces, names, and personalities. I may not remember which face goes with each name but one thing I know for sure is 

I like these people.

Following a healthy amount of heavily topped pizza slices we went for an evening stroll on the beach. As we looked out over the water we saw the biggest fattest moon I'd ever seen rising and reflecting on the water in front of us.

Naturally we all reached for our camera phones and started snapping away in attempts to capture the gigantic glowing moon. Word to the wise, the moon that's taking up the whole sky right in front of you is going to be a tiny glowing speck in the pictures you're trying to take.

Today was a good day.

Happy Birthdays and Self Timer Treasures.

Yesterday was my dearest mother's day of birth. We celebrated by eating lots of delicious baked goods and taking flattering self timer photos.

When I am with my mom I am my most true and best self. I cry the hardest, smile the fullest, and laugh the loudest when I am with her and I love her for that.

Today was the day my mother was born.

Today was a good day.
